MemoHoney started with a beekeeper's daughter and a spreadsheet of disappointing labels.
Our founder grew up in a family that kept hives outside Boise. Honey was not a wellness trend in that house, it was a jar on the counter. Years later, when her mother started losing words in the middle of sentences, she did what most people do: she went shopping. What she found was a shelf full of memory products that either hid their amounts inside a proprietary blend or printed doses so small the label read like a suggestion.
Ridgewater Brands, LLC was registered in 2019 to build the thing she could not buy. The brief was narrow on purpose: one capsule a day, real printed amounts on the amino acids, no blend to hide behind, and honey in the formula for the reason it has always been in that family's kitchen. The first production run was 4,000 bottles and it took eleven months of reformulating to get there.
What we decided not to do
We do not sell MemoHoney through retailers or marketplaces. That is a commercial decision with a cost, and we make it anyway for three reasons. Selling direct means one price list rather than a dozen. It means the bottle you open came from our warehouse and not from a reseller's garage. And it means the 60-day guarantee is ours to honour, with nobody in the middle telling you to take it up with someone else.
We also decided not to inflate the label. There are five botanicals on the MemoHoney panel without individual milligram amounts, and we say so on the label page rather than hoping nobody checks. We would rather lose a sale to a shopper who wants itemised botanical doses than win it and refund it eight weeks later.
How we source and check
Every raw material arrives with a certificate of analysis from its supplier, and the facility verifies identity before anything enters a blend. Finished lots are held until an independent laboratory clears them for potency and for contaminants including heavy metals and microbials. The plant is FDA-registered and audited against current Good Manufacturing Practice. None of that is unusual in this industry, and it should not be.
What we spend the most time on is the boring part: keeping one supplier per ingredient wherever we can. It is cheaper to shop around each quarter, and it is also the fastest way to end up with a bottle that behaves differently from the last one. Our buyer has changed a single supplier twice in five years, both times because a certificate came back short, and both times the run was delayed rather than shipped.
Where the price comes from
People ask why a bottle is $179 on the list and $49 inside the six-bottle pack. The honest answer is that the list price is what a single bottle would have to cost to carry its own share of manufacturing, testing, storage, card fees and support. Packs spread those fixed costs across more bottles, and selling direct removes the retailer margin that would otherwise sit on top of all of it. There is no invented original price here that nobody ever paid, and there is no discount code, because the pack price already is the discount.
The company behind the bottle
Ridgewater Brands, LLC trades from Boise, Idaho, registration ID-LLC-4471902. We are a small team: formulation and quality, customer support, and fulfilment, with manufacturing handled by a contract partner that has been making capsules for longer than we have existed. If you want to know something we have not published here, telephone (208) 314-0192 and ask.
